Joe Bracciale

President / Broker

Biography:

A Florida Native born in Orlando, Joe has spent most of his professional life in real estate. While attending FSU, Joe got his start in real estate in Tallahassee with a local builder, Fox Fire Homes. He was hired to be a construction laborer during the week and to sit their open houses on the weekends. He went from stripping forms and hauling trash during the week to dressing up and showing homes on the weekends. In just a few weeks, Joe had sold the few finished homes in the builder's inventory and, realizing that it would be a good idea to start getting paid a commission on the sales he made; he decided to get his real estate license. During one of his real estate classes, he met a fellow student who worked for Turner Heritage Homes, the largest builder at the time in the Tallahassee area. After hearing what they had to offer, he applied for a sales position. He was hired by Turner Heritage Homes (THH) as a sales consultant in 1994. During his first 6 months on the job Joe became their top producing sales executive. After two short years, Turner Heritage promoted Joe to Director of Sales and Marketing, the youngest person ever to hold that position with the company. According to Joe, the foundation he developed during his time working for the Turner family has helped him build a successful career in real estate. Joe completed a successful stint with THH and decided to move back to Orlando. There he was hired by Bovis Homes to help them with a distressed community near the Orlando International Airport where they had 18 existing inventory homes that were not selling because they were in the direct flight path for the airport. Joe was able to sell the entire standing inventory in 90 days. When asked by the company President how he was able to sell those homes so quickly Joe responded by saying, “ I grew up in this area, and when I was a boy the military was flying giant B-52 bombers so low we could read the numbers on them, so these little planes shouldn’t be a problem at all." After a brief but successful stint with Bovis, Joe decided to step away from the real estate industry and entered law enforcement where he worked for the Florida Department of Corrections and Leon County Sheriff's Department for 3 years. One would think that these two fields have little in common, but Joe realized that in order to be successful in law enforcement it was important to know how to talk and communicate with people - all types of people. In 1999 Joe was approached by representatives of the St. Joe Company about a new 4000 acre development that was planned in Tallahassee and scheduled to break ground in 2000. Joe accepted the position and became one of St. Joe's top producing executives company wide. During this time he earned the company's Top Producer award 4 out of the 6 years he was with the company by selling over 500 homes and just over $100,000,000 in real estate. Joe left St. Joe in the summer of 2006 to accept an offer to be the Regional Director for Florida Land and Ranches. Working under Chris and Jeff Forbes, Joe oversaw the sales teams throughout Georgia and Florida to promote the sale of large acre estates in high end areas. After accomplishing his goal of setting up self-producing offices in each of those areas, he left Florida Land and Ranches to take his current position with Intrawest as Director and Broker for Sandestin Real Estate and their Orlando Property, The Westin Hotel.
